In this virtual two-week long story-based Workshop, Young Filmmakers will be introduced to Film Theory and the fundamentals of filmmaking. The story themes emerge from the Young Filmmakers themselves.
Introduction to Filmmaking
June 15–26 (ages 12–18)
In this story-based virtual workshop, teens will be introduced to Film Theory and the fundamentals of filmmaking. The story ideas will emerge from the teens. Then, working within a small group (3-4 students), teens will utilize screenwriting software to collaboratively write scripts. Then, guided by EFW staff, teens will shoot and edit a short film utilizing online collaborative tools.
